Globaljet Hairdressing Buenos Aires
Get Jetset & Go.
Hairdressing is unique in that it´s one of the few occassions that people recieve actual physical contact with another person.
This two-way contract of trust only develops after you realise you are being listened to.
It´s also the only profession where a guy can blow on another persons neck and not get knocked out or slapped!
About Me: Raymond E Lee
I had a couple of salons back home in New Zealand but after 20 or so years
in the biz decided I need to take my long overdue gap year and after touring for 2 and a 1/2 years ended up "stuck" in South America.
I toured the continent as an actor for almost three years with an international theatre company throughout latin America as well as maintaining what client base I could in between tours. I also continued my studies in business development and marketing part-time (which I do now for small to medium sized companies) .
Since leaving the theatre company, I have been growing my clientele working mostly from a dedicated room in our apartment and doing outcalls one day a week when necessary, at this stage I am still considering going to work within a salon here should I find somewhere suitable.
My rates vary from client to client as I don´t charge set fees.
Regarding chemical services, I will inform you of the cost of product plus % surcharge to cover supply costs (generally AR28 per tube),
however the service rate is up to you.
My clients range from expats to travellers and also some Argentines and so everybodys perception of the value of hairdressing services is different
(obviously myself included,) and I believe that this approach whilst being a little "new agey," means that my median rate is for me at an acceptable and liveable level.

`bambazonke Hairdressing´Picture above of the old `bambazonke HAIRDRESSING´ Salon. Born in the suburbs of Wellington NZ and rebranded into the CBD in a joint venture, bambazonke Hairdressing is REDKEN exclusive and was one of the first `loft concept salons´ in NZ and my second salon. Our consultation bar concept kept us eye to eye (not eye to mirror) with our large and diverse inner city clientele. This huge point of difference from our competitors not only grew our business but also very strong relationships which I believe is key in any business. The reason? Consultations are interactive and obviously proactive and without the mirror, 100 times more "in your face," there is no room for showbiz personality without content or without the skill set to back it up, I think maybe it is too easy to hide behind the client, even in front of a mirror. No more vampiric hairdressing without depth or reflection! More about why Buenos Aires & what is Globaljet Hairdressing soon on the blog. I do not claim to know it all even after 25 years in the industry, but I know how to listen. Book Hair.
